Golden Heart prides itself for hiring the best Caregivers. We invest in our Caregivers
and provide the best training and skills to meet our Clients expectations. Prior to hiring
our Caregivers, each future employee is evaluated to ensure that he/she meets the
Golden Heart standard. This evaluation includes:

Golden Heart Caregivers are:

• Available from two-hours up to 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
• All Caregivers take a CARE Series personality assessment
• C.N.A. certification and “In Good Standing” or trained P.C.A who complies with the State of Nevada annual training requirements
• Current certificate in standard for First Aid and CPR
• Safe driving practices with valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
• Current fingerprints on file
• Proof of legal residency
• Current two-step TB screening
• Drug screening test
• State of Nevada criminal background check
• Golden Heart is a licensed, bonded, and insured Personal Care Agency.

Wages and taxes

If you employ a private caregiver directly, you are still responsible for paying their taxes. The IRS treats paying of any person “under the table” as tax fraud.

Insurance and bonding

Private caregivers do not have liability insurance and are not bonded. It becomes your responsibility to provide liability insurance to cover any caregiver injuries, damages, or theft.

Staffing, training & supervising

If you employ a private caregiver, you will need to conduct interviews, drug screenings, scheduling, training and taking disciplinary actions. If your caregiver gets sick, you will be without care. Golden Heart performs these functions and has additional caregivers that can provide the help you need.

Abuse and exploitation

Most caregivers are caring, giving and loving people. Unfortunately, some private caregivers take advantage of seniors. To ensure your safety and dignity, Golden Heart Senior Care conducts background checks, driving record checks, and supervision of your caregivers.
